On the 20th of September 2019, our pioneers of the Agri-Entrepreneurial Training Programme crossed the Activation finishing line strong after a reflection session with various EARN training partners. Indeed, time does fly when you are having fun! The three-month journey has been nothing short of amazing, not just for the trainees but for EARN as well.
As we reflect on the past three months, we have accomplished a lot of milestones. We were able to have all our Lephalale intake successfully complete the Activation Stage, performing both in the field and in the classroom. They have is played commitment and enthusiasm. The trainees were hands-on with the production of baby spinach and pak choi from sowing the seeds to having them delivered to local markets around Johannesburg for sale.EARN is still pressing on to perfectly achieving 20% theory in the classroom and 80%practical on the field. Our goal is to produce Agri-entrepreneurs who are a step ahead than our nation’s agricultural graduates who have all the theoretical knowledge and minimum practical skills
A bitter-sweet moment as we say farewell to Mr.Nkosinathi Nkosi who's stepping down ascertaining manager and now will be venturing this business back in KwaZulu-Natal as from the 23rd of September 2019. We as EARN are proud of him and wish him nothing but the best.
A heartfelt thank you to all our partners, for always being so professional and providing excellent and relevant content to our trainees! As you know, this is a pioneer project of its kind and is being continuously reviewed and improved for optimal outcomes. Thank you for your patience and for being so adaptable to sudden unforeseen changes in the programme. We genuinely enjoyed partnering with you as EARN and we look to many milestones together.
